Agora showcase
What is a Showcase in Agora?
A Showcase in Agora is a dedicated space offered to different initiatives, groups, or services within the university alliance—such as doctoral schools, student wellbeing programs, or reading clubs—to share their activities, resources, and updates in a structured and visible way. These showcases act like mini-websites hosted on the Agora platform, giving each group its own online identity while remaining part of the wider Agora ecosystem.
The main purpose is to empower different university alliance stakeholders (researchers, students, service providers, etc.) to present their information clearly and attractively, without needing advanced technical skills. The Agora platform gives each showcase a flexible space to include content such as text, images, videos, contact forms, catalogues, and more.
How It Works: Website Module
To build these showcases, Agora uses the Website module, which is a powerful yet user-friendly tool that allows you to create and manage web pages with ease. Here's what makes this tool effective for building showcases:
Users can easily add content such as text blocks, images, videos, buttons, forms, columns, and sections using a visual drag-and-drop interface.
No coding skills are required—this makes it perfect for non-technical users from different universities or departments.
Each showcase can have its own structure and layout, depending on what kind of information it needs to present.
Pages can be customized with banners, menus, background images, and even embedded catalogues or surveys.
Within each showcase, you can create multiple pages (e.g., Home, About, Courses, Contact, News) and link them through a custom navigation menu.
This turns a simple page into a structured mini-website.
The Odoo website module supports multiple languages, making it ideal for international audiences across the alliance.
Add forms to allow students or researchers to get in touch, submit information, or register for events directly from the showcase.
You can also integrate surveys, newsletters, or feedback tools.
Authorized users from each alliance partner can edit and update their own showcase content without needing IT support.
Content can be published or hidden with one click, and updates are immediately visible.
Showcases can exist as standalone mini-websites with their own URL or be part of a section within a larger page.
This allows full flexibility: each team can promote its own page independently, but still be connected to the central Agora platform.
